Richard and Rebecca O’Connor
Richard and Rebecca O’Connor have been friends with the Elams for over 20 years. Richard is the Vice President of Finance and Insurance for Sonic Automotive a Fortune 500 Company. They are blessed with 2 sons and live in the Atlanta area. Through their relationship with Greg and Sam they were motivated to visit Nicaragua and fell in love with the people of this beautiful country.
Pastor Chris and Kristin Bonham
Chris and Kristin Bonham have been in ministry for over twenty six years, with twenty one of them at Grace Family Church in Tampa. While ministering at the local church is their first calling, both have enjoyed numerous missions trips over the years. Their love for Nicaragua was birthed out of a love for the Elams and the powerful calling they have on their life to bring God's love to a country who need it so desperately. With God's love being demonstrated in practical, tangible ways, Nicaraguans will have a wonderful opportunity to see that love brought into relationship. Go get em!
Pastor Aaron and Caroline Nebrija
Aaron and Caroline fell in love with Nicaragua the first time they visited four years ago and have not stopped going back since then. They have had the incredible privilege of leading many student and adult teams to Nicaragua and introducing them to the beautiful people of KM54. Their love for the community of KM54 only grows deeper with each trip. They have had the opportunity to watch the KM54 community transform through the power of hope over the last few years. God is doing an amazing and powerful work there, and the Nebrijas feel humbled to be a small part of watching the story God is writing for KM54 unfold. Aaron and Caroline’s desire is to continue to invest time, love, and resources into KM54 and hopeful to continue to see how God changes lives and restores hope in the Nicaraguan people. This is why we believe in the vision and mission of HHLA and are grateful to work alongside the Elams and this organization, as they passionately serve the Nicaraguan people.
Chase and Gwen Deits
We began supporting Sam and Greg's efforts in Nicaragua simply because of our love for them and our desire to provide support for their mission. As we learned more about their work and the direct benefits it was providing the people of Nicaragua, we realized we wanted to do more than just provide support for Sam and Greg. We also wanted to be able to directly help the people there. Giving is so much more rewarding when you can see exactly how your money is helping people and communities. We were especially blessed to be able to see this first-hand when we traveled with them to Nicaragua in 2013. We were amazed at the many good works we saw done and in progress. Our trip there reinforced our desire to help Sam and Greg and HHLA and the people of Nicaragua. With Greg's updates on the ongoing projects there, we can see God working his miracles through this group of supporters. We are so blessed and thankful to be a part of this ministry.
Pastor Dale and Kaye Brooks
Pastor Dale has been to Nicaragua 15 times. He has preached in numerous communities and has a heart to continue to train and encourage the local Pastors that work in the communities HHLA are involved in. Both Dale and Kaye have enjoyed loving on the Nicaraguan people numerous times.
